Director

Delegation begets optimization.

Directors are confident leaders who do well and excel. So, directors tend to take on and micromanage too many tasks — thereby overworking themselves.

Considering the consequences of overworking, directors must let go of some control, by trusting team members. Directors may be able to do certain tasks better than team members. However, if team members can do the tasks 80% as well as directors, then directors must trust them and delegate.

Of course, training precedes trust. Directors must thoroughly train team members before entrusting them with important tasks. Team members must be trained to be analytical and meticulous. Team members must be trained on the specific skills required by the tasks. Ultimately, team members must be trained to be directors.

Delegating tasks to well-trained team members strengthens the team, including its directors. By the directors' positive leadership and encouragement, team members evolve — and time and productivity optimize.
